Book Sense Advance Access Program for Independent Bookstores

The Book Sense Advance Access program provides an excellent method of introducing your book to independent bookstores across the country. This program emails over 1,000 independent booksellers with news of galleys, reading copies or finished books for review. After receiving a free review copy from you, bookstores will read and decide whether to carry the title, potentially qualifying it for nomination on the Book Sense List.

Experience has proven that the Advance Access program is a very effective means to get the word out about titles.  Stores will email their review copy requests directly to us, and, generally speaking, you can expect requests from 25-50 booksellers.

In order to participate, you must make at least 25 books available to send out to interested bookstores.

We offer two options with this service:

Basic Book listing - $89

  • Entry of your title into the Booksense program (includes all Booksense participation fees).
  • Interested bookstores will contact you directly and you will send them the books

Full Service - $329 (plus postage and cost of books)

  • Management of all requests (incoming, mailing books, etc.)
