Bar Codes for Books
A bar code is the the black-and-white box on the back cover of a book. It contains the ISBN information in a format that is easy to scan. The Bookland EAN bar code is what a retailer scans at the point of sale to identify the price and information from the bookseller’s database. Like any other bar code, the computer then automatically reports the price to the cash register.
Our bar codes also incorporate a UPC bar code for sales of your book in drugstores, department stores, and other non-bookstore retailers.
Here is an example of a bar code:

All Mill City Press publishing packages include the development and placement of a combined Bookland EAN and UPC bar code on the back of all books.
