WHAT YOU GET:
- Coverage of your book on 20 different book blogs
- Publication of your blog tour schedule online

NOTE: 20 copies of your book are required to execute this service. These 20 copies
will be taken from your distribution inventory. Authors must be participating in
our Expanded Distribution program to be eligible for this service.
There is no denying that the spheres of public influence are changing. Sure, word-of-mouth
is still a valuable way to spread the message about a great book, but the way that
message is delivered is now more likely to be through a Tweet or a blog post than
it is through and ad in Publishers Weekly. Even savvy book buyers from chains and
independent stores are finding out what’s hot from in-the-know book bloggers.
Additionally, the costs of arranging a physical book tour are skyrocketing. The
time spent traveling, setting up, and promoting events (not to mention the cost of
travel, lodging, and sharing profits with book stores) can make physical book tours
way more trouble than they are worth, especially for the first time author. Our
Blog Book Tour capitalizes on the exploding world of book review blogs, creating
a virtual book tour that gets your book in front of hundreds of interested readers
without you having to leave the comfort of your own home.
At least forty-five days before your official publication date, we send out 20 copies
of your book to interested bloggers. Most usually provide a review of the book,
but others may want to provide an author interview or other specialized coverage
of the book. Your blog tour schedule is published online a week or two before your
publication date. Once the book is officially released, the tour begins and you
will see your book featured on at least 20 different blogs (or “stops” on your tour)
throughout the month.
FAQs
How are the bloggers selected?
We have a large pool of bloggers we work with that have all met certain criteria
such as, dependability, number of times a week they post new content, number of followers/visitors
to their blog, and number of comments received on daily posts. They choose the books
that most interest them, so we know that they are writing for your general audience.
What if I don’t want to do interviews or guest posts?
Sometimes we can work around this. It is not always necessary to provide a straight
review. Bloggers are occasionally willing to use other content that you provide
instead of an interview. Generally speaking though, authors who are unwilling or
unable to provide some content for blogs are probably not the best fit for this
service. We have to work with the bloggers to help them best serve their audience.
I’m not really an “online person.” Will this affect the outcome of my Blog Book
Tour?
The more you can commit to sharing, posting, and tweeting about all of the “stops”
on your blog tour, the better the reach of your message will be. However, you are
not required to do any social media sharing, nor do you have to possess a working
knowledge of any blogging platforms in order to reap the benefits of this service.
Aside from any guest posts or interviews that bloggers may want you to write, you
will not have to coordinate any technical aspects of this service.
