The second week of NaNoWriMo is notorious for causing many writers to stop or fall behind. How did Amanda fare?
Thankfully, I didn't fall into the second week slump. In fact, my numbers picked up considerably, which allowed me to take Sunday off. (Which hadn't been intentional, but sometimes life happens.)
Total counts: Redemption, 24,039; new fiction, 4,825; MCP content, 1,173.
What Worked... and What Didn't
As I suspected, the bulk of my writing comes from my fiction. MCP projects have been a stage where I'm added a few words here and there and not even really worth keeping track of. Despite that, it's not slowing me down.
I hit a fun part (read: near the end where THINGS begin to HAPPEN!) in Redemption, which takes the bulk of my focus. At my current pace, I'll finish some time next week, hopefully right around the 50k for NaNoWriMo mark.
Writing on the weekend continues to be an "issue" for me. (Issue in quotes because I'm still ahead of my counts despite not writing much.) At this point, I'm not too worried. Next weekend might be different... or it might not. I guess we'll find out next Monday!
I'll keep moving forward, writing my hour ever weekday, which puts me over 2k every day.
