Address Bar: The long, horizontal bar at the top of your web browser that shows the address of the web page you’re viewing. In the picture below, the horizontal bar that has the text “https://www.google.com” is the address bar.
Browser, Internet Browser, Web Browser: The computer program you use to view pages on the Internet. Common browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.
Download: When you save a file from a website—or from your email—to your computer.
Operating System: The software that supports a computer's basic functions. Common operating systems are Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, and Mac OS 10 (Yosemite, Mountain Lion, Snow Leopard, El Capitan).
Responsive Web Design: A type of web design that resizes the website to fit any screen—desktop, mobile, or tablet. This is different than a fixed web design, where the images and text always remain the same size.
Upload: When you put a file from your computer onto a website or attach it into an email.
